Winnebago County Literacy Council

Volunteering Requirements:

All persons interested in becoming volunteers with WCLC must:

• Be at least 18 years old and pass a criminal background check.
• Attend an informational session
• Adult Tutors: Attend the 9-hour tutor training workshop.
• Child Tutors: Attend our 4-hour tutor training.

We ask tutors to commit to meeting at least two hours one time per week with their student for one year.
